How to Prepare for the
In-Car Driving Sessions
  • Don't forget us! Keep track of the date and time your lesson is scheduled. If you need to cancel your lesson  please be mindful of our time and other students by giving us 12 hrs notice *.
  • Make sure you have you Drivers Licence with you.  We can't drive without it.  No exceptions. It's the Law!
  • Cell Phone switched off, or better yet, leave it at home or in your locker.
  • Proper footwear- be comfy but make good choices.
  • Try to not to stress. Deep breaths! As instructors we are professionals, we always have control of the vehicle ; we may assist you by braking or steering for you when needed for safety. Please don't be offended.
  • Be well rested and healthy.  Driver Fatigue/ Illness /Significant Stress causes a large percentage of crashes on the roadway. We will terminate a lesson if we feel there is a risk.
  • 0.00% BAC/ Zero marijuana use before the lesson.
  • Be prepared for your next lesson  Practice, practice, practice. 3-5 hrs is suggested, do your best. (Pssst...we can tell when you haven't been practicing. it's in your best interest.)
  • Give use feedback, talk to us. Tell us: How we can help? Is there is something you want to review? How is your practice going? We really want to know.
  • Unfortunately, sometimes we have to cancel our in-car lesson due vehicle issues, illness or severe weather.  We will do our best to give you notice and reschedule asap!

What if the insurance company wants proof the BDE program has been passed and completed?
As of 2008, if you require proof of completion you will need to obtain a Driver Licence History (DLH) from the MTO for a fee of $12.  This is a Government issued document only we do not have access to this info!
The Student can visit any Service Ontario office in person with their Drivers Licence to have the certificate printed.
Or go online at:

https://www.apps.rus.mto.gov.on.ca/jtips/licenseHistorySearch.do?method=view&lang=EN

*Unfortunately, due to many last minute driving cancellations/clients not showing up for scheduled appointments we have put in place a $40 cancellation fee.  This is to help insure driving lessons are made priority and to ensure students give 12hrs notice to their instructors. Sudden illness, family issues, weather conditions etc will certainly be taken into consideration-we are firm but fair with this issue.
